Guru Ramdas Ji's Prakash Utsav, 15th October-


Join SCOD in celebrating the Prakash Utsav of our 4th Guru, Guru Ramdas Ji this SundayOne of his main contributions to Sikhism was organizing the structure of Sikh society. He was also the author of Laava, the hymns of the Marriage Rites, the designer of the Harmandir Sahib, and the planner and creator of the township of Amritsar. Guru Ramdas contributed a total of 688 Shabads/hymns to the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Guru Ram Das nominated Guru Arjan Dev, his youngest son, as the next Guru of the Sikhs.

A Sikh Leader of Canada's New Democratic Party-

Jagmeet Singh, is the first non-white politician to become the leader of Canada's New Democratic Party. His victory was seen as a groundbreaking step toward inclusiveness and diversity in Canadian politics. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's cabinet already has four Sikhs, including defense minister Harjit Sajjan and infrastructure minister Amarjeet Sohi. In 2015, a record 19 Canadians of Indian origin were elected to the House of Commons. But Singh is Canada's first ever non-white leader of a major political party. Read more at

Langar Sewa for October 15Sunday is by SCOD Sangat. 


  • For Saturday Sukhmani Sahib Path or Sunday Langar Sewa, please contact any of the Sangat Sewadars or Sarabjit Singh (Pat) @ 302 252 5332. 
  •  All are welcome to help the Sangat Sewadars in Langar preparation on Saturdays 6 pm onwards, and Sundays 8 am onwards.
  •  A reminder to our Sangat that our Gurdwara is open 24 hours, all 7 days a week. Please feel free to visit anytime.
  • Rehraas Sahib Paath is recited daily 6:15 - 7:00 pm.  

All are welcome in our Gurdwara irrespective of

race, color, creed, caste, or gender.
